The Baha'i Faith in the cluster

Located in the Western part of Kenya. Tirirki West cluster is close to Kisumu on one side and Kakamega on the other side in Vihiga County.Approximately there are Eighty thousands inhabitants in this cluster. The Baha'i Faith is believed to have been recieved in the late 1950's around 1959 from the early pioneers who travelled to heed the call of The Guardian of the Ten Year Crusade. Since most of the inhabitants of the Western part as a whole are Christians including Tirirki West, It was easy for the Faith to grow. Receptivity was shown more in men than in women since most men were not church goers as were women. Many Local Spiritual Assemblies evolved over time as many people accepted the Word of Baha'u'llah (The Founder of the Baha'i Faith).
Currently, there are a bout 3,000 Baha'is  in the cluster. Due to the increasing number of believers, making it a little difficult to consult and make decisions, the cluster was divided into sub-sector by the first Five Year plan that ran from  2001-2006, It was made up of three sub-sector; Tahirih covering the upper part, Quddus covering the Middle part and Badi covering the lower part of the cluster. There are approximately 67 localities where one or more Baha'is live.
In the Current Five year Plan that begun at Ridvan(April 21st ) 2011 and will run till Ridvan( April 21st ) 2016 the cluster is in cycle 25th of Expansion and consolidation.

This blog will include the many activities that are taking place in the cluster and regular reports of what is going to happen soon.We will be able to share some learning and experience that has happened in the cluster.
